Puppy pads how do they work?
My dog is 1 years old. She is using puppy pads but my question is how can I eventually train her to start going outside?
They work by smell. They have a smell in them that attracts the dog to urinate there. What you should do is whenever you go outside, take her with you on a leash. Whenever she uses the bathroom praise her. Try taking her to the same spot every day so that she gets used to it. Then after a while, maybe a month, stop using puppy pads. Where ever you put it, when its gone, clean that spot with chemicals like lysol or something to take away any left over odor from the pad so he doesn’t go there. And remember to take her out after she eats, and 3 more times a day so she can go. And whenever you catch her using the bathroom in the house, stop her if possible by saying no real loud and take her out right then to go to her spot outside.
