Can guys wear turtleneck sweaters?
I was going to wear a dark blue turtleneck sweater and dark brown courderoy sportscoat to the symphony next week. Seems semi-stylish and a nice alternative to wearing a tie or a suit, etc.
But my friend just told me she thinks guys should only wear turtlenecks if they’re going skiing or something, otherwise it looks dumb. She said it would be a huge mistake to wear one to the symphony, even if I’ve got a sportscoat on over it.
Just curious- where do people stand on men in turtleneck sweaters?
Is it fashionable or just stupid looking?
Depends on how you wear it. If your wearing it alone, Don’t. Wearing it with a good jacket would be nice…depending on what jacket. Dont wear a little thin jacket. Wear a nice big thick jacket unbuttoned or unzipped. Clothes sometimes rely on what body type you have, and I don’t know what body type you have so if you have a slimmer body type, use those tips. If you have a larger body type, I would suggest not to use those tips, if your body type is in-between you could probably go either way.
