And yet another question regarding the evil eye?
I thought the evil eye derived from envy, not from black magic which is what I have understood from previous posts. I am sure that in other countries that is what is regarded as evil eye, is it different in Morocco? And what about the wide spread use of the Hamsa (in Morocco) to ward off the evil eye? Do you think it works? Do you have one?
Well, I asked my husband (he’s from Morocco) and he just started laughing and said it was old wives tales. But my best friend really beleives in it. She says it comes from envy, jaleaousy, any negative feelings you have towards others. When something good happens in my life, she always tells me not to tell everybody to avoid the evil eye 
.
And yes, I have a Hamsa, I wear it 24/7. I bought it when I was going through a hard time, I though it could do no harm, lol. I think that it helps people in the sense that you feel protected so you worry less about it, and with a positive attitude you see an improvement in your life instead of the bad times.
