canany one help answer some questions about adult bed wetting?
i am 41 yr old female,i did potty train later then most kids but never had bed wetting issues until last yr(2007) and it started after being sexually assualted,i have tried so many things,for example no drinking 2 or more hrs before bed,to wakin every few hours to use the bath room to buting aborbant disposible underpads and incontince product,but i will wake up soaked and extrmly upset,usually panicked and scared by a nightmare ,i am fustrated now,because now twice this week i have wet the bed during a nap,i wanna just hide then live like this and now my income has made it impossible to aford any incontince products,tired of sleeping on plastic and washin sheets,any advice please i will try anything

I would suggest revisiting your gynecologist and your therapist.
You could have some sort of internal trauma from the assault whether it be physical or psychological.
Lots of women suffer incontinence later in life after their childbearing years so this is not an uncommon issue. I know there are several oporations and procedures that can help … but without knowing if your issue is completely psychological or physical it is hard to go into all the various possibilities.
If finances are an issue there are several victim services available to help with the cost of therapy and doctors visits if needed. I would start by contacting the same people you worked with last year or your local womans shelter …
It breaks my heart to see people suffer from incontinence … the only shame you should have is in taking responsibility for something that was done to you … it sounds like you have tried everything you can at home …
