Does trimming a cats claws work?
Does it dull the claw enough to stop kitty from scratching up furniture? I have heard of softpaws which sound like they might be a pain…so I’m just wondering if trimming the claws really works enough to save furniture? How much does it cost to have your vet cut kitty’s claws?
Yeah, it works, but it isn’t easy, let me telll you that. It may be hard, but with a little practice, you can do it yourseelf, having it done is expenive and not worth it, it’s something that has to be done ALOT. Just get a kitty nail clipper and your cat’s favotire treats!
I have four cats and my mom works at a veteranary hosital, trust me I know, it works. If they don’t stop scratchng, get a sctraching post and they will scratch that instead. Cutting nails doesn’t hurt them, annoys them maybe, but not hurt them.
Don’t declaw them, it’s cruel and very painful to the cat. Without claws, they cannout climb and it’s harder for them to run. It’s a horrible, bloody proceedure.
Also, if you don’t cut them, then they can really hurt you if they scratch you (I have several scars) and your furniture is destroyed.
THEY DON’T HAVE TO BE FILED THAT’S A WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY.
